The Red Baroness (also known as The Baron on Home Island) is the villain of Monkey Wrench Island. Her name is a parody of the Red Baron. She is now much more involved in the general story of Poptropica and is a main character now. They were once an ally of Amelia and former friend.

In her appearance on Monkey Wrench Island, she is shown to be desperate to win the Flying Ace Race at any cost. She tried to kill Amelia and the player to win, but failed. She made puns while trying to kill them. She is shown to get angry easily.
After Monkey Wrench Island, she decided to become a pirate. Her anger issues have mostly gone away, and she's more laid-back and sarcastic.
Storyline[]
Role on Monkey Wrench Island[]
The Red Baroness makes her first appearance at the start of the race. After the player and Amelia gain a good start on the race, the Red Baroness appears in front of them. It is clear at this point that Amelia knows of her, but the player does not, as they were confused of her at the time. Determined to win the race (and the medallion), the Red Baroness literally 'throws a wrench in their plans', which causes the plane to crash. She is seen again at the near finish of the race, and still fights dirty with Amelia and the player, even going as far as to knock the player out of the blimp, and throw a large assortment of dangerous objects at them. Soon enough, the player turns the tables on the Red Baroness by taking the stowaway Crusoe's coconut drink and throwing it into her plane. Thanks to Crusoe's clumsiness, the plane's circuitry malfunctions and the plane goes down. This is the last time the Red Baroness (and Crusoe) are seen.
Role on Home Island[]
Now, the Red Baroness has relaxed her villainous ways and is now a traveling saleswoman, with her market-like airship. She's still pretty sarcastic and mischievous, and enjoys teasing Amelia. She is fascinated by pirates, and is currently a treasure hunter, looking for a legendary city.

Amelia and Baroness were once best friends and partners. They went on adventures together across Poptropica.
For unknown reasons, they had a falling out and became enemies/rivals. Baroness still holds a grudge against Amelia, setting up her shop on Home Island just to spite her and making snide comments against her.

Crusoe caused Red Baroness to crash her plane and lose the race.
Rumpelstiltskin[]
Rumpelstiltskin kidnapped the Baron.

The Red Queen returned to Planet Poptropica after Rumpelstiltskin kidnapped the Baron, although her mother doesn't seem to care about her in any real way, referring to her as a “common pirate”.

The King is the Baron's father. He is very sensitive and cowardly, and the Baron is the opposite. It's unknown what their relationship is.
Prince[]
The Prince is the Baron's brother. He is lazy and a crybaby, and the Baron is the opposite. It's unknown what their relationship is.
Ack[]
Ack is the Baron's pet monkey and first mate of her ship. She found him after the events of Monkey Wrench Island.

- The Red Baroness seems to be a fan of making puns, as many Poptropicans are. Times where this is proven are when she sabotages Amelia's plane with a wrench (and says "Sorry to throw a wrench in your plans.") and when she knocks the player out of the blimp (saying "Thanks for dropping by.").
- The Red Baroness's mother and father are queen and king of Fairy Tale Island, making her a princess.
- Due to Amelia recognizing her, it is implied that the two were or are acquainted in some way. At the very least, she knows a great deal about her since she recognized the danger that she caused. A photo of them when they were friends is seen in Amelia's house.
- The Red Baroness has no problems with cheating in order to win, and seemingly takes losing very seriously. This is evidenced by the fact that she was literally willing to kill the player just so she could win the race.
- The Red Baroness' clothing is similar to Amelia's, hence the similar red colors. There are however notable differences in their goggles, helmets, and jackets.
- It's implied that she's German, based on her using German words in her dialogue.
- On Home Island, she now wears an eyepatch and cape, and has a giant airship as well as her plane. She also now has a monkey sidekick named Ack, and refers to herself as "The Baron".
- At the beginning of July 2022, the Red Baroness started selling Rumpelstilskin merch in her Cabin of Curiosities. It is implied Rumpel possessed her, or is her in disguise, as she refers to adventurers as "little adventurers" which is what Rumpel refers to the player as.
- She also seems interested in Captain Crawfish inviting you on a quest to uncover his loot. This quest involves her opening up a safe that is filled with gold, jewels and the Captain's Clothes. You will then receive the clothes as a reward. It is unknown what this implies at this time as the last time Captain Crawfish was seen was on Super Villain Island, meaning that he should be good, as the player destroys his evil totem.
- On 9/28/22, Rumpelstiltskin took over Baroness's body and ship. He then revealed that she was related to the Royal family on Fairy Tale Island.
- She is the second character to use she/they pronouns, with the first being Detective Anna Gram.
