Marion is a character in Escape from Pelican Rock Island. Like most characters in that island, their gender depends on your gender.
Characteristics[]
Appearance[]
Marion is wearing the prison outfit that everyone else in the prison on that island is wearing: a blue shirt with brown pants. He has messy brown hair with a few pieces of his hair sticking out. He has bags under his tired eyes, most likely from how long he's been in the prison.
Storyline[]
Role on Escape from Pelican Rock Island[]
Day 1[]
Marion is seen sitting on the stairs outside when the player goes outside for recreation. He appears to be reading the prison newspaper about the events that happened today. The player nicely says hello, and Marion says hello back, and then tells the player if they new that they made the headlines today. The player is confused by this, and Marion says that he's just talking about today's newspaper. Again, the player is confused by this and says that he didn't know that they could get access to current news in the prison, and Marion responds with saying that anyone can get anything at the prison, as long as they ask the right person. As that happened, one of the officers of the prison tells everyone to fall in line so that the warden can speak to them. Marion, along with everyone else, falls in line as the warden walk towards them. As the warden speaks, he notices that they have a new guest and tells everyone to move out of the way so that he can go speak with them. Once they go through their little argument, the warden turns back to everyone else. As he talks about how they think that there's still hope behind the walls of the prison, the warden brings up the Booted Bandit, and Big Tuna gets all angry with the player, saying that they set him up. Marion and everyone else gets scared and runs over to the player. Big Tuna charges at the player, but gets dragged away by the officer and isn't seen for a very long time. The warden tells everyone that that's what happens when they misbehave, and then tells everyone to carry on. When the player goes to work, Marion appears next to a machine, and says that the player must've done something really bad to make Big Tuna so angry with them that morning. The player screams that they didn't do anything to him and just simply wanted to meet him as it was their first time in the prison. Marion sarcastically says that everyone in the prison is innocent, and the player responds by saying that they could prove their innocence, if they could find out what those criminals were up to. Marion tells the player that he could get them their files for the right price, and the right price is some gum that the player has to earn. He then tells the player to go get a drill bit from the guard, and then he'll teach the player how to work the machine. The player goes and grabs a drill bit from the guard and brings it back to Marion. Marion says that the player will need to use the machine to the left to print license plates, which'll earn the player their gum. Marion puts the drill bit into the machine that he's standing next to, and then informs the player that the more license plates they print, the more gum that they'll earn. Marion then starts to work his machine, that does... actually, what does that machine do? My guess would be that he's drilling the holes into the license plates, but I don't know for sure. Anyways, he starts to do that, and then the player runs over and begins to print the license plates. Once the player finishes, Marion notices that the player has a lot of gum, and then tells the player to meet him in the yard tomorrow with the player's gum if they want the prison files. When the player goes to lunch, Marion is seen sitting in the table next to Patches. The player was told by Flambé that one of the two ways that they can get a job in the kitchen is to get a job in Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. Marion overheard this, and tells the player that he thinks it's obvious that Flambé didn't actually train in Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, because the food that they have to eat is terrible. After that, Marion is told to go to bed. However, all that happened on day 1.
Day 2[]
Day 2 starts and the player immediately runs over to Marion and asks him how much gum they have to give in order to get those prison files. Marion responds by saying that the price is 3 sticks of gum, and the player gives it to him. Marion hopes that something in the files could possibly help the player, and then warns the player that something seriously bad will happen if the guards catch the player with the files, so don't let them see it. When at work, Marion keeps on doing his thing while again reminding the player to not let the guards see the prison files. At lunch, Marion again says that it's obvious that Flambé didn't train at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, and then goes to bed.
Day 3[]
Day 3 comes and Marion again reminds the player to not let the guard see those prison files. Yeah, I think we got it Marion. Now that you heard us say this, you're not gonna continue saying it... right? We also understand that Flambé didn't train in that place in Paris that he told the player about. We got it Marion.
Day 4[]
Day 4 comes and Marion reminds the player again. Ok Marion, stop telling us. We've gotten 2 days without the guards seeing the prison files, and they likely won't. We don't need anymore reminders. Lunch time comes and Marion doesn't change what he says or where he sits. But while the player is getting their job in the kitchen, they turn on the fan and stir the mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes get sucked up and drop onto the plate that the player eats at, causing both Marion and Patches to be startled. Marion is then ordered to go to bed.
Day 5[]
You seem like you really love reading the newspapers everyday, Marion. Tell me, is there ever a different topic for each day. Better yet, is there ever gonna be a different topic in your lines!?! Doesn't look like it. Might wanna fix that Marion. I'm getting bored of you and making this page.
Day 6[]
Tell me Marion. What's the topic for today? You know, in the newspaper. Oh, the topic is Marion tells inmate that claims 100% innocence to not let the guards of the prison see the files? Gotta be honest, I think I've seen that topic before. Anything new to eat at lunch? Oh, just the same gruel that everyone has been eating for so long? That kinda reminds me of you, Marion. Both of these things aren't changing.
Day 7[]
Finally a character change. In recreation and work, he has nothing new. Lunch starts, and he still says the same thing, but the player had a night visit to the ventilation shaft and made the vents be open to Florian's spot. The player goes into the kitchen and turns on the fan, then begins to stir the mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes get sucked up and splat all over Florian's head, causing a food fight to start, and for everybody in the lunch room to participate in it. When the player walks out of the kitchen to retrieve Flambé's mixer, the player notices Marion hiding under a table, saying that it's chaos over where everyone else is at. An officer of the prison eventually puts Florian down, and demands lockdown for everyone. And that, my friends, is the last time that we see Marion in the prison.
Out of the prison[]
Marion is seen outside of the prison wearing blue clothes with a red book in his hand. He calls the player a lifesaver and thanks them for everything.
