Home Island is the first island you'll see on Poptropica . First released on the mobile app on launch, it was added to desktop on August 13th, 2015.
When Home island was first released there were 3 different places.
The island was removed and replaced with Monkey Wrench Island on February 25, 2016, although the home area is still there. In 2019, Home Island was revamped to include a clubhouse, an arcade, a pet shop, and a new store. It is currently the location where a player always appears upon first logging in or creating an account, and it is where they return when they select "Home" from their menu.

- Home Island was originally called Hub Island. Its logo was an island microcosm surrounded by clouds.
- Home island used to have a tutorial part but it was removed in February 25, 2016
- Shrink Ray Island, Home Island, Fairy Tale Island, Goofball Island, and Jade Scarab Island are the only islands with new animations.
