Tessa Turncoat, also named Costume[1], and Leader[2] in Episode 3, is a character on PoptropiCon Island. She works for Omegon and teaches you how to use the costumizer.

Characteristics[]

Appearance[]

Tessa is a young woman. She has a spot on her left cheek. She has short, black hair, and wears a bandana around her neck. She wears a blue top hat with a yellow feather sticking out of it. She wears a belt that holds a walkie talkie, presumably operating the head mic she wears. Tessa wears a dark blue shirt with a barely visible yellow badge, and a short, light blue skirt.

Personality[]

At first, Tessa appears to be polite and teaches you how to use the costumizer. In Episode 3, she is revealed to be working for Omegon. She tricks you into retrieving the Mighty Action Force's weapons, so she could give them to Omegon. Omegon had promised Tessa the powers of Alphaon in exchange for the weapons, but he had lied to her.

Tessa initially appears to be a friendly and helpful character. She teaches the player how to use the costumizer, which allows the player to create their own custom costumes. However, Tessa is actually a double agent working for Omegon, the villain of the episode. She betrays the player and other Poptropicans to Omegon, helping him to take over PoptropiCon.

Tessa had done it because she was tired of hiding in the basement of the Convention hall for months.

At the end of the island after Omegon's defeat, Tessa awkwardly asks if everyone could forgive her for selling out humanity for personal power.

Role on PoptropiCon Island[]

In Episodes 1 and 2, Tessa runs a costume closet and offers tutorials. In the third episode, she betrays the remaining resistors due to Omegon promising her "the powers of Alphaon." However, he goes back on his promise and sends Tessa to the processing plant.

Trivia[]

  • The word turncoat means a person who changes to the opposite party or faction, reverses principles, etc.; renegade. This is in line with her role in the story.
  • Her name is not mentioned on the island, but in the bingo card.
  • She might be aware of being in a video game, since she knows about the menu buttons.
