The Booted Bandit is the villain of Escape from Pelican Rock Island. Like most characters in that island, their gender depends on your gender. The Booted Bandit is identical to the player, but with boots on.
Characteristics[]
The Booted Bandit was a thief who most likely robbed the Bay City Bank many times. They tried for years to steal Florian's long lost treasure so they could be rich. The Booted Bandit also didn't get along with Florian and Big Tuna, since the two hated you when you were thought to be the Booted Bandit.
Appearance[]
The Booted Bandit is your doppelgänger, meaning they look exactly like you. They are known as the Booted Bandit because they were a thief who wears boots. At the beginning, the Booted Bandit is shown wearing a black sweater and mask, along with blue pants. Strangely, however, at the end of the island, the Booted Bandit wears your exact clothing.
Storyline[]
At the way beginning of Escape From Pelican Rock Island, the Booted Bandit is seen running away with a bag a money they had stolen. You run after them up a hill. You eventually find the money they stole, but when you try to pick it up, the Booted Bandit throws the money bag on top of you. The Booted Bandit then reveals themself to be your "exact double," and walks away as you get arrested. During your time at Pelican Rock Prison, everyone thinks that you're the Booted Bandit when you're not. After you escape, you argue with the real Booted Bandit on top of the Colt Tower. The police come, and wonder who the real Booted Bandit is, even though the real one obviously has shoes on. You open the safe to prove yourself, and when the treasure is just photos of Florian, the Booted Bandit gets mad and accidentally confesses. The police arrest them, and the Booted Bandit is never seen again.

- The Booted Bandit is the first villain whose gender changes depending on the player's gender.
- They are the third character made to look exactly like your Poptropican, the first being your future self in Time Tangled Island, and the second being The Porter on Mystery Train Island.
